Environmental Educator Awards
MEEA works to promote and enhance environmental education across Montana and we believe one of the best ways to do this is to showcase innovative educators and elevate them to share their best practices. We award two Environmental Educator of the Year Awards to celebrate both a formal and non-formal educator who have demonstrated service and leadership in the field of environmental education.
How do I nominate someone?
Nominating an educator is simple. Fill out the form below.
Who is Eligible?
Each year MEEA celebrates two educators:
- one formal education, someone working in a traditional school setting
- one non-formal educator, someone working with students of any age outside of a formal school setting
What are the deadlines and timelines of this nomination process?
Educator award nominations are open now through January 16, 2026. Winners will be announced in the new year and celebrated at the 2026 MEEA Annual Conference.
