Project WET Workshop

Come join us and learn how to merge service learning, history, math, science, art, English and water with state education standards! Benefits of attendance:

  • Training includes: full instruction, the Project WET Curriculum Guide and Activity book, a student copy pages CD, a copy of the 2009 Project WET Guide Correlations to Montana Content Standards, a renewal unit certificate, and follow up support from Montana Watercourse.
  • Make new contacts and network with experienced teachers and professionals
  • Teachers can earn 6 renewal units in one day!
  • Enrollment is limited to 15, and costs $35.00 per teacher. Traveling teachers will have their mileage subsidized as follows.

    Big Sky area: $23.00 (44 miles)
    Ennis area: $20.00 registration fee (53 miles)
    Livingston area: $27.75 registration fee (26 miles)
    Helena area: $8.00 registration fee (98 miles)

Adopt-A-Swan Teacher Training in the Blackfoot Valley
April 14, 9:00-4:00 at Upsata Lake Lodge

This exciting workshop will cover the background of the Blackfoot Trumpeter Swan Restoration Program, review the Adopt-A-Swan curriculum and work through some modules, view the newly-launched swan website, showcase the Swan Trunks, provide updates on the latest with swans, and discuss the School Release Day plans for early May.

The training is open to anyone who is interested in learning more about the Swan Program. A fee of $30 is required for interested teachers in schools outside of the Blackfoot Valley which includes materials and lunch. Teachers working in Blackfoot Valley schools may attend cost free thank to a generous grant!

Lunch will be provided, you must RSVP and note any special dietary requirements by April 5th. 7 OPI Credits Available!

Online Courses

Environmental Education and Training Partnership (EETAP) is announcing the online environmental education courses offered by EETAP and the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. Summer semester 2010 offerings include the “Fundamentals of Environmental Education” (FEE) and “Making EE Relevant for Culturally Diverse Audiences” (MEER) to your EE networks. There are $200 scholarships available for the FEE course and $100 scholarships available for the MEER course! Learn more
